THE U.S. AND COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD HAVE IMPOSED A RANGE OF TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS AND TESTING REQUIREMENTS DUE TO COVID-19. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS ARE UPDATED OFTEN, SO ALL APPLICATIONS AND TRIPS WILL BE PENDING THE LATEST TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS TO ASSURE ALL PARTICIPANT’S SAFETY. PLEASE NOTE ALL APPLICATIONS NEED TO BE DONE ONLINE, TO ENSURE PROPER COMMUNICATION OF THESE REQUIREMENTS.

How do I apply for the online application?

To fill out the application online, simply go to the group leader page that you will be traveling with. Click Torch Missions application and apply! All applications must be filled out online. You can check with your leader to see if a paper copy is required as well.

* Note: You must select the group leader you will be traveling with and apply with them, this way your application goes to the correct person.

What should I bring?

Torch recommends you to download the “Torch Packing List”. This will get you started. There are many things you may need to bring, it may also depend on what your group will be focusing on. You will need to check with your group leader for more information that could be specific to your group.

How do I stay in contact with family in the States while abroad?

You will have certain times during the day to check-in and call home if you need to. Just speak with your group leader about the details of where you will be staying to see about the internet quality in order to maintain communication. There is high speed internet on the Agua Viva property where most groups stay, so communication can be daily, if needed.

Can I drink the water in Honduras?

No! The water is not the same in Honduras! Don’t take any chances! You will have plenty of times to stock up on bottled water daily! Purified bottled/bagged water is always a good rule of thumb! However, if you are staying at Agua Viva, the water is safe to drink on that property. The entire property has purified water, including the sinks and the water fountain!
